Corn

In addition to being fundamental in the production system in rotation with soybeans, it guarantees the structure of the soil and organic matter.

Corn is a cereal with high nutritional value, widely used in the composition of animal feed and in human nutrition, noting that in its natural state it is a gluten-free food. Corn is grown as a second harvest crop, being important in the crop rotation process and in adding organic straw to the soil, also contributing to the dilution of the fixed cost of production units.

In the company, corn occupies an area of approximately 70 thousand hectares of cultivation, with an average productivity between 90 to 110 sacks per hectare, resulting in an annual volume of approximately 430 thousand tons.

We have 22 UBAG warehouses (Grain Processing and Storage Units) strategically distributed throughout all regions of the State of Mato Grosso, which allows us to store all of our soybean and corn production, as well as, since 1999, through certification and accreditation, offer storage services to third parties and operate with contracts with CONAB - National Supply Company. Our grain storage capacity is 1.45 million tons/year. In the first half of the year the warehouse is usually operating with soybeans and in the second half with corn.

The wood chips and firewood used to dry products in the agro-industrial process come from our own reforestation. We have invested in automating the grain processing process, offering greater safety, drying and aeration performance, saving resources and thus ensuring greater quality to the final product.
