The Bom Futuro grain storage units, Cocal, Malu and São Miguel, located in Canarana (MT), Bom Jesus do Araguaia (MT) and Campo Verde (MT), have been recertified by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA). The recertification attests that the facilities meet the technical, operational and safety requirements established by federal legislation for grain storage.
MAPA’s Storage Units Certification is granted to enterprises that comply with the quality, management and safety standards set by the agency, in accordance with Normative Instruction No. 29/2011, ensuring product integrity and process compliance.
The recertification process was conducted by certification body QIMA WQS and included an assessment of technical, operational and documentary criteria, confirming the units’ capacity to properly store and preserve agricultural products.
In practical terms, certification helps reduce losses, improve management practices and strengthen the company’s credibility. For producers and consumers, the recognition represents safety, quality and reliability throughout the entire production chain.
Elaine Lourenço, Bom Futuro’s environmental manager, highlighted the company’s commitment to quality standards. “The recertification of our units reinforces Bom Futuro’s commitment to regulatory compliance and the adoption of best practices in grain storage, ensuring quality and safety at every stage of the process,” she said.
