Bom Futuro has been recognized with the PRO Carbon Award, granted by Bayer, in acknowledgment of the company’s dedication over four years of participation in the program. The period has been marked by the adoption of practices aimed at strengthening soil health, increasing productivity, and consolidating a more sustainable production model.

The award reflects the continuous work carried out by Bom Futuro’s Environmental Department, which is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and advancing actions aligned with the program’s principles. The PRO Carbon initiative recognizes companies and projects committed to regenerative agriculture, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and the promotion of more efficient and sustainable production systems.

According to Nahzir Okde, Bom Futuro’s Administrative Partnerships Manager, the recognition reinforces the company’s strategic direction. “We have been working consistently to integrate sustainable practices into our production model, with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility. This award indicates that we are on the right path,” he said.

In Cuiabá, the award was received by Leonardo Rossato, Bom Futuro’s Director of Administration and Shared Services, alongside Nahzir Okde and representatives of Bayer.

In addition to the recognition, Bom Futuro took part in the fourth edition of the Carbon Science Talks, an event promoted by Bayer at Amcham Brasil, in São Paulo (SP). The meeting brought together companies, researchers, and representatives from the productive sector to discuss solutions aimed at the decarbonization of agricultural value chains and regenerative agriculture.

Representing the company, Nahzir Okde participated in one of the event’s panels, where he shared Bom Futuro’s experience in adopting sustainable practices and building production chains with lower environmental impact. Topics discussed included the measurement of CO₂ emissions, the use of reliable data, and cooperation among producers, industry, and the market as pathways to advancing climate goals in agribusiness.

Considered one of the leading forums for discussion on science, data, and sustainability in the sector, Carbon Science Talks brings together initiatives seeking to accelerate the transition to more resilient production models aligned with global environmental requirements. Bom Futuro’s participation in the event and its receipt of the PRO Carbon Award reinforce the company’s leadership in the sustainability agenda and in the decarbonization of Brazilian agriculture.
