Small Hydropower Plant

SPPs (Small Hydropower Plants) use the power of water to generate clean and renewable energy, with a power between 5 and 30 MW. This type of plant is granted to the entrepreneur through a concession, which means that these projects are assets of the Federal Government. After the end of the period of authorization for use, they return to the Federal Government, becoming public assets.

Like HPPs (Hydropower Plants), SPPs are small plants, distributed across different regions of the country. They contribute significantly to the quality of energy supply to the population and reduce the need for investment in large transmission lines.
