Energy is one of the key pillars to ensuring autonomy, efficiency, and the expansion of agribusiness activities. At Bom Futuro, we continuously invest in innovative and sustainable solutions to optimize our production, reduce environmental impacts, and drive development in the regions where we operate.
With a generation park of approximately 200 MW, we operate 12 hydroelectric plants and 3 photovoltaic plants, ensuring a reliable energy supply for our processes. Self-generation provides us with greater operational stability, especially in high-energy-consuming activities such as grain drying and storage, as well as cotton processing.
Our culture of continuous innovation drives us to seek solutions that further enhance our efficiency, including energy efficiency. The integration of batteries into our solar systems is a technology that will further optimize our energy management while reducing production losses caused by fluctuations in electricity supply.
"When I have a cotton processing plant in operation and there is a power outage, ‘embuchamento’ occurs—everything in the production line gets stuck, halting the process. If the power goes out for 15 minutes, it can take up to two hours to resume production," explains Lívio Costa, Corporate Energy Generation Manager at Bom Futuro.
Beyond improving our internal efficiency, expanding renewable energy also helps reduce the consumption of fossil fuels such as diesel, minimizing carbon emissions and lowering operational costs. The future of agribusiness depends on smart, sustainable, and integrated energy solutions, and we strive to remain at the forefront of this movement.
Innovation is part of our essence. That is why we constantly seek new technologies that ensure a more efficient, autonomous business model, committed to sustainable development. The future is built with clean energy, circularity, and transformation!
