A agribusiness company with over 40 production units throughout Mato Grosso requires a large fleet of vehicles and trucks for internal logistics.
To qualify employees who use various vehicles—cars, motorcycles, light and heavy trucks, from "the gate in"—Bom Futuro organized a training session on "Fleet Management," held on November 16 and 17.
“We were tasked with creating processes in the mechanization department, and for that, there's no better way than to train employees in this sector to identify demands and communicate them correctly for the smooth operation of the internal fleet,” explains Marcos Antônio da Silva, Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator at Bom Futuro.
The meeting brought together 34 employees involved in the maintenance and logistics of the internal fleet, discussing everything from the main challenges of fleet management, behaviors and attitudes within the fleet, the department's role in the company, to more technical topics like maintenance itself, tires, fuels, economical driving, and costs per kilometer.
Marcos Silva notes that the course was the starting point for making Bom Futuro's internal fleet an example of efficiency. “We hope that the people directly connected to the sector can gain a broad understanding of the business, communicate their needs clearly, and of course, that all of this leads to savings for the company, including at the time of vehicle replacement, which will be in good condition,” says the coordinator.
