Solidarity Tax Campaign will allocate funds to nursing homes in Mato Grosso

06/12/2023

Bom Futuro employees are invited to direct their Income Tax refunds to the State Fund for the Elderly in the state.

Bom Futuro employees will assist nursing homes in the municipalities where the company operates in Mato Grosso. Through a partnership with the State Council for the Defense of the Rights of the Elderly and the State Secretariat for Social Assistance and Citizenship (Setasc), the amount raised from the employees' Income Tax donations will be entirely allocated to nursing homes.

The Solidarity Tax Campaign has been ongoing at the company since 2021, inviting everyone to allocate part of their Income Tax to the nursing home in their city when completing their full Income Tax declaration.

“The amount allocated to social organizations at the time of issuing the Income Tax can be deducted from the amount to be refunded or owed, meaning it is money that would have been paid to the Federal Revenue anyway, without compromising the employee's budget,” explains Marcos Rodrigues, Director of Control at Bom Futuro and the project's creator.

According to the president of the Elderly Council, Isandir Rezende, the partnership is pioneering and will be very important for the elderly in Mato Grosso. “It is a unique and historic moment to celebrate this partnership with Bom Futuro and its employees, who will allocate 3% of their tax through donations to the State Fund for the Elderly of Mato Grosso (FunepiMT),” emphasizes the president.

The Deputy Secretary of Human Rights at Setasc, Kennedy Dias, also participated in the visit to Bom Futuro, informing about the state's policies for the elderly and highlighting the importance of the Elderly Fund and its establishment, stressing how important it is for civil society and companies to participate in the creation of the fund.

“We received a very positive response from the management of Bom Futuro, which committed to assessing what amounts would be possible, but has already indicated that a sum will be sent to the fund. This coordination was done by Secretary Grasielle Bugalho along with the president of the Elderly Rights Council, Isandir Rezende. It was very good, productive, and we saw the feasibility of having this collaboration,” affirms Dias.
