Internal campaign encouraged Bom Futuro employees to allocate taxes to institutions in the state
Bom Futuro employees in Mato Grosso raised R$ 531,813.50 to be donated to institutions caring for the elderly in the municipalities where the company operates. A total of 1,476 employees directed their Income Tax to an entity, making a significant difference in the quality of life for the elderly.
“Choosing to direct part of my Income Tax to the Solidarity Tax Campaign is a concrete way to exercise my citizenship, translating my tax contributions into acts of solidarity. This not only helps strengthen the institutions that work for the greater good, but also provides me with personal satisfaction knowing that I am making a difference in someone's life,” says John Hrenechen, Cost and Budget Manager at Bom Futuro.
Olimar Antônio Gottems, known as Bolacha, is the Corporate Operations Manager at Bom Futuro and also made his donation. “It is very gratifying to be able to help others, especially for a good cause. Helping those who need attention and care at this stage of their lives,” he affirms.
The action is a pioneering partnership between Bom Futuro, the State Council for the Defense of the Rights of the Elderly, and the State Secretariat for Social Assistance and Citizenship of Mato Grosso (Setasc).
The Solidarity Tax Campaign has been ongoing at the company since 2021, inviting everyone to allocate part of their Income Tax to the nursing home in their city when completing their full Income Tax declaration.
The amount allocated to social organizations at the time of issuing the Income Tax can be deducted from the amount to be refunded or owed, meaning it is money that would have been paid to the Federal Revenue anyway, without compromising the employee's budget.
