The entities selected through the "Protagonists of the Future" social grant by Bom Futuro are based in 15 municipalities and carry out various social activities.
Assisting children and adolescents in extracurricular activities is not an easy task, but many institutions undertake this work, often on a volunteer basis, in various cities in Mato Grosso. This Wednesday (November 8), 25 entities received certificates confirming their selection in the 3rd Social Grant "Protagonists of the Future" by Bom Futuro.
“We understand the difficulties faced by those working with social projects and how complicated it is to raise funds. Therefore, we saw this opportunity to help through the grant. We formalized something the company has always done, which is to assist entities, by creating clear requirements so that many others can apply for resources,” explains Marcos Rodrigues, Controller Director of Bom Futuro.
More than 15,000 children and adolescents will benefit in 2024 across 15 municipalities in the state with support from the company. This includes the 100 children involved in the Social Tennis project in Cuiabá. “This project aims to bring sports and health to children. The demand is high, and with this grant, we will be able to expand our services. Currently, we have three courts for lessons in the capital, and we will also extend to Primavera do Leste,” says Antônio Batista, project coordinator.
The Saber Ajudar (AASA) Assistance Association conducts music and arts activities aimed at children aged 8 to 15. “The partnership with Bom Futuro provides resources for us to develop our work through school visits, instruments, and transportation. This enables us to truly carry out the activities,” explains Evaldo Rocha, vice president of the association, which currently serves over a thousand children.
Bom Futuro's social grant was the first for incentivized social projects in Mato Grosso. “We have opened a path for social investment, which means less social vulnerability and a better future. We begin to inspire many other companies that also have real profits and are unaware of this way to help others,” states Ana Eliza Lucialdo Peixoto, Social Responsibility Coordinator at Bom Futuro.
Ana Eliza states that, as a result of the third edition of the grant, she has observed progress in civil society organizations preparing for the application period. “We have already created a culture. Entities are starting to prepare legally and organize documents to access resources,” she shares.
The Child Sports Institute (IDC) has been supported by Bom Futuro for nine years, and since the social grant was created, they have managed to secure funds to expand their work, which will impact 700 children next year.
“This grant has provided organizations with the structure they need to improve the quality of their projects. For us, this support is very important to continue our work with children aged 7 to 16 in the Vôlei Kids program,” says Selma Lopes, executive manager of IDC.
The 3rd social grant "Protagonists of the Future" allocated resources to 25 institutions with 27 projects under the laws supporting Culture, Sports, and the Childhood and Adolescence Fund.
