Bom Futuro announced on Monday (October 16) the selected projects in the “Protagonist of Transformation” grant in the areas of culture, sports, and childhood and adolescence.

The names of the 25 entities benefiting from the social grant “Protagonist of Transformation” from Bom Futuro were disclosed on Monday (October 16). Over R$ 7.8 million has been allocated to the selected projects in culture (R$ 3.6 million), sports (R$ 2.6 million), and childhood and adolescence (R$ 1.6 million).

The projects must be based in Mato Grosso, in the municipalities where Bom Futuro operates. “Currently, there are over 40 projects and 15,000 children and adolescents impacted through the work of these entities benefitting from the grant. The goal is to contribute to the social development of the communities where we operate,” says Leonardo Rossato, Administrative Director and Shared Services of Bom Futuro.

According to the company's Social Responsibility Coordinator, Ana Eliza Lucialdo Peixoto, 59 projects were submitted, and 24 were deemed ineligible to compete. “Institutions can submit as many projects as they wish for analysis, but one project per institution will be selected for each incentive law,” she explains.

In the “Protagonist of Transformation” grant, projects must be approved under the Laws of Incentive to Culture (Rouanet), Incentive to Sports, and Incentive to the Funds for the Rights of Children and Adolescents. Moreover, approved projects must have at least three objectives supported by the guidelines of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The projects in Bom Futuro's grant are funded with incentivized resources from the company's Income Tax collection. This year, the amount allocated to the institutions was lower than the previous year due to falling commodity prices, which, in turn, impacts product sales and the company’s revenue.
