Sport as a tool for education, integration, and transformation marked the Football Championship of the Sementes do Futuro Program, held at Bom Futuro’s Fartura unit in CampoVerde, Mato Grosso. The activity brought together nearly 90 children for a morning focused on interaction, learning, and fun, strengthening Bom Futuro’s commitment to the development of future generations in rural communities.

More than a competition, the championship provided experiences that went beyond the football field. Throughout the event, the children took part in moments of social interaction and received breakfast, lunch, uniforms, and awards, all provided by the company, reinforcing the importance of care, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.

For program participant Pedro Otávio, this year’s experience was especially memorable. “I thought today’s event was really cool. It’s a championship that happens every year, but this one was more fun,” he said.

Football coach Leonardo Lorenzatto highlighted the educational dimension of the initiative. “Today we had nearly 90 children enjoying the morning, with meals, uniforms, and awards for everyone. This is very meaningful, because our future lies with our children,” he stated.

In addition to football, the Sementes do Futuro Program promotes activities that contribute to the participants’ overall development. Student Kemily Isadora emphasized the project’s impact in different areas. “It’s good for children to have fun and develop themselves through football, capoeira, and English. I also learn how to separate waste properly, which helps the environment and other people,” she said.

For parents Édis Matos and Daytts Matos, company employees and guardians of three students enrolled in the program, the initiative has a direct impact on family life. “The project teaches commitment, responsibility, and recycling, lessons they take home with them. As parents and employees, we feel honored and very grateful for the importance the company places on our children,” they said.

Through initiatives such as this championship, the Sementes do Futuro Program reaffirms the role of sport and education in civic development, contributing to a more conscious, engaged, and sustainable future.
