We promoted a technical immersion in post-harvest and grain grading to improve processes, reduce losses, and ensure quality at every stage.
At Bom Futuro, we conducted a comprehensive training on post-harvest and grain grading, covering soybeans, corn, and rice. The course involved all our regional units and included participation from administrative teams, grain graders, and storage supervisors.
We believe that investing in knowledge is one of the most effective ways to ensure excellence in our processes. That’s why we designed this training with a focus on best practices and proper handling, combining theory and practice to develop even more qualified operations.
In the post-harvest module, we addressed the key care practices needed to achieve greater operational efficiency, high grain quality, and loss reduction. Topics covered included grain characteristics, crop-related issues, best practices during intake, drying control, proper use of thermometry, aeration, and pest control techniques during storage.
In the commercial grading training, we deepened our understanding of the concepts, definitions, and procedures essential for the correct identification and evaluation of grains. Our team learned about grain sampling, proper use of sieves, tweezers, and grading pliers, and explored recent research on grain defects and their impact on grain quality and its derivatives.
We are confident that well-applied knowledge strengthens our commitment to excellence in production.
