Journalists and Influencers from Across the Country Discover Sustainable Agribusiness in Mato Grosso

18/07/2023

A group of 40 communicators visited Bom Futuro's units in Campo Verde (MT) to explore economically, socially, and environmentally responsible agribusiness practices. This visit was part of the 2023 Road Show and the 55th Expoagro.

The itinerary included the cotton processing facility and the São Miguel, Santo Antônio, and Fartura farms, where the professionals learned about various agribusiness operations, including seed laboratories, seed processing industries, biofactories, cotton and corn cultivation, corn harvesting, cotton processing, and livestock farming.

The group also explored technological initiatives and social responsibility programs, such as "Sementes do Futuro," which provides extracurricular activities for employees' children, including theater and capoeira performances.

The visiting professionals included journalists and agro-influencers from Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Goiás, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Pará, and the Federal District, in addition to local Mato Grosso professionals.

Lucas Lima, a reporter for Revista Rural from São Paulo, shared his impressions: “I am amazed by the infrastructure at Bom Futuro. I have never seen such a large operation with such a positive impact on society; I am really enjoying the whole experience.”

With 46 years in journalism, Lima Rodrigues hosts the "Conexão Rural" program, broadcast in Pará, Maranhão, Tocantins, Rondônia, Paraná, and Goiás. “This is my second year at the Road Show, and given the scale of agribusiness in Mato Grosso, being here is an important topic. At Bom Futuro, we cover many stories showcasing the innovative work done here, which demonstrates a commitment to productivity, sustainability, and social responsibility.”

Yago Portella from the magazine A Granja in Rio Grande do Sul was captivated by the natural and rural beauty of Mato Grosso. “This state has stunning landscapes; everything is beautiful, including the vast white expanse of cotton.” Influencer Aline Leonhardt from Santa Catarina also expressed her amazement at the cotton fields.

“Like every sector, we see that agriculture has many challenges. In a group like Bom Futuro, there's a significant context that works as a unit. We leave impressed by the technology and technical expertise employed and how people are thinking about the best ways to make everything work,” Aline praised.
