The first cotton fields from Bom Futuro's 2026/2027 crop have entered the harvest stage in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Operations began in fields that reached the ideal level of maturity and will gradually expand over the coming weeks as the crop continues to develop across the company's cotton-producing regions, including Araguaia, Campo Verde, Nova Mutum and Sapezal.

At this initial stage, harvesting is taking place selectively, following the natural opening of cotton bolls in areas with suitable conditions for harvesting equipment. The schedule is determined by the company's technical teams, which monitor crop development on a daily basis to ensure fiber quality and operational efficiency in the field.

In addition to the harvesting operations, the process relies on an integrated transportation and processing structure. After leaving the field, seed cotton is transported to one of Bom Futuro's 10 Cotton Ginning Facilities (IBAs), where it undergoes ginning, cleaning, grading and fiber preparation before commercialization.

Beyond the cotton fiber itself, all by-products are fully utilized. Cottonseed is processed into oil and meal for animal feed, while other residues generated during the ginning process are incorporated into the company's livestock operations, reinforcing the efficient use of the entire crop within Bom Futuro's integrated production system.
