Bom Futuro has received the Silver Seal certification from the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, acknowledging the company's efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture and low carbon emissions. This certification attests to the ongoing efforts to measure, report, and reduce these emissions, contributing to climate change mitigation.
The program is an online platform where greenhouse gas (GHG) emission inventories are published, and the silver seal is granted to those who complete comprehensive GHG inventories.
“The achievement of this seal represents an important milestone and demonstrates our commitment to ecologically responsible agricultural practices. Moreover, we emphasize our commitment to transparency by making this information available through the Public Emissions Registry of the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program,” says Elaine Lourenço, environmental manager at Bom Futuro.
The Silver Seal covered 22 Bom Futuro units and certifies that the completion of these inventories was thorough, serving as an important tool for understanding the potential environmental impact of a company's or institution's activities. They allow for the identification of areas for improvement, the implementation of sustainable strategies, and data-driven decision-making.
“We want to congratulate all those who contributed, directly or indirectly, to this remarkable achievement, which encompassed 22 Bom Futuro units. This certification is a testament to our commitment to a more sustainable future in agriculture,” emphasizes Elaine.
