In support of the Apae (Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Individuals) in Campo Verde, the company engages in discussions about inclusion and social transformation.
The National Week for People with Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities, held from August 21 to 28, aims to foster discussions on inclusion and public policies for individuals with these disabilities. This year, Bom Futuro volunteers are participating in activities and supporting Apae in Campo Verde (MT).
Rosilene Schabbach, president of Apae Campo Verde, shares that this year’s theme is “Empowerment Protagonizes and Realizes Social Inclusion.” “The goal is to raise awareness within society about the specific needs for social organization and public policies to promote the social inclusion of these individuals while combating prejudice and discrimination,” she explains.
Bom Futuro encourages discussions on social equity and supports the event organized by Apae in Campo Verde. “This is a moment when we want to help raise awareness about the social conditions of these individuals as a means of transforming reality, overcoming barriers that prevent them from participating collectively on equal terms with others,” says Ana Eliza Lucialdo Peixoto, Bom Futuro's Social Responsibility Coordinator.
The special program, which runs until Friday (August 25) at Apae Campo Verde, includes roundtable discussions, conversation circles, and cultural presentations open to the community, as well as events for the internal community.
Bom Futuro Volunteers – The Bom Futuro Volunteers program encourages employees across all company units to engage with their communities and participate in volunteer work. Currently, more than 330 employees are part of the program, actively working in six production regions throughout the state.
