Twenty-six young people have begun a new chapter in their professional journeys at Bom Futuro in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. As participants in the company’s Aprendiz do Futuro (Apprentice of the Future) program, they make up the new class of the Technical Apprenticeship Program in Systems Development with an Emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, offered in partnership with SENAI-MT and SENAR-MT.
The program introduces apprentices to a field that is becoming increasingly strategic in the job market and reflects the growing role of technology across different sectors of the economy. Throughout their training, participants will develop technical skills while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment, combining education with practical exposure at the beginning of their careers.
According to Bom Futuro’s Social Responsibility Supervisor, Roselina Camarão, the initiative goes beyond meeting legal apprenticeship requirements and is directly connected to the company’s commitment to creating opportunities in the communities where it operates.
“For us, investing in young people is about much more than complying with legislation. Hiring new apprentices means investing in the future, especially in the communities where we operate, contributing to their development and to the future of our country,” she says.
The start of the new class also marks the first experience in a corporate environment for many of the participants, giving them the opportunity to interact with experienced professionals who can contribute to their career development.
For Isabela Pommot, joining the program represents an opportunity she intends to make the most of from day one.
“I feel truly fulfilled. This is a tremendous opportunity, and I am very happy to be part of the team. Working alongside experienced professionals who will support me throughout my journey brings me great satisfaction and gives me confidence that I am on the right path,” the apprentice says.
The combination of systems development and Artificial Intelligence also appeals to young people who are already pursuing education in other fields. Luis Felipe, an undergraduate Business Administration student, sees the technology-focused apprenticeship as an opportunity to complement the knowledge he is acquiring at university.
“I believe this course will help me a great deal. It involves technology, and the two areas of knowledge can complement each other very well. It is a great opportunity, and I want to make the most of it,” he says.
With the new class, the Aprendiz do Futuro program further strengthens the connection between professional training, technology and access to the job market. The initiative is part of Bom Futuro’s broader efforts to develop people and create opportunities for young people in the communities where the company operates.
