Forty-four years ago, on June 2, 1982, at 8:45 p.m., Bom Futuro began its journey in Mato Grosso, closely linked to the development of agribusiness. What started with soybean cultivation has evolved into a diversified operation with a presence across multiple productive and strategic sectors. Founded on June 2, 1982, the company grew alongside Brazil’s agricultural expansion and consolidated a business model based on large-scale production, operational efficiency, and sustainability. Today, Bom Futuro operates in agriculture, livestock farming, seed production, energy generation, airport operations, and real estate development.
Each year, the company cultivates more than 800,000 hectares across all regions of Mato Grosso. Its infrastructure includes 36 Agricultural Production Units, 24 Grain Processing and Storage Facilities, 10 Cotton Processing Plants, four Seed Processing Plants, one Biofactory, 15 Clean Energy Power Plants, two Cottonseed Crushing Facilities, two Residential Developments, one Airport, and five Corporate Offices.
The company’s growth has also been driven by continuous investment in technology and innovation. In the field, the Agricultural Operations Center (COA) integrates data, real-time monitoring, and precision agriculture tools, supporting more efficient decision-making across operations.
In livestock farming, Bom Futuro maintains one of the world’s largest Crop-Livestock Integration projects, with more than 50,000 hectares dedicated to the system. The operation also includes a Compost Barn model adapted for beef cattle, designed to promote animal welfare, health, and herd performance.
Seed production is another strategic business segment. With four industrial seed processing facilities and an accredited laboratory, Bom Futuro oversees quality control throughout every stage of production, focusing on high vigor, genetic standards, and field performance.
Sustainability remains at the core of this journey. The company adopts practices such as crop rotation, soil cover management, the use of biological inputs, livestock supply chain traceability, and the generation of clean, renewable energy. In the energy sector, Bom Futuro operates 12 hydroelectric plants and three photovoltaic plants, with an average annual generation exceeding 1 million MWh.
More than a commemorative milestone, these 44 years represent a history built by people. Employees, families, partners, and communities are all part of a journey that began with soybean cultivation and has grown into a diversified business with operations across multiple sectors.
Driven by its purpose of feeding, clothing, and moving the world forward, Bom Futuro continues investing in technology, sustainability, and quality as it builds the next chapters of its story.
